Green Pea Hummus

The base of this recipe is just like any other traditional hummus - packed with chick peas, creamy tahini, lemon juice and garlic. Our take on a world wide loved mid day snack adds a bit of a twist without completely pulling you away from tradition.






  • 1 16 oz. Can Chick Peas

  • 1 C. Frozen Peas

  • 1/3 C. Tahini

  • 2 Whole Garlic Cloves

  • 1 T. Olive Oil

  • 1 tsp. Salt

  • 1/2 tsp. Pepper

  • 3 Ice Cubes

  • Juice of a Lemon


  1. Drain and rinse chick peas.

  2. In a high speed blender, add chick peas, frozen peas, garlic and ice cubes. Blend on high for about 30 seconds to 1 minute.

  3. Add oil, tahini, salt, pepper and lemon. Blend for another minute, until you have a thick, smooth consistency.

  4. If hummus is too chunky add an additional tablespoon of olive oil and tahini.

  5. Top with peas, olive oil, salt and pepper. Serve with crostini or fresh sliced veggies and enjoy!


Can be refrigerated in an air tight container for up to  5 days.
